'If I had you' was the Korgis' second single, released in June 1979. It reached number 13 in the UK singles chart, giving them their first hit single. Their self-titled debut album was released a month later, in July 1979.The song was later covered by various artists, amongst which Tracey Ullman and Rod Stewart.
