Conny Vandenbos was born as Jacoba Adriana Hollestelle on January 16, 1937 in The Hague, the Netherlands. After a performance in the 1961 Knokke festival in Belgium she won a recording contract.In 1965, she represented the Netherlands during the Eurovision Song Contest with ''t Is genoeg' ('It's enough'). She ended up in 11th place. The single did not make the charts in the Netherlands, but a series of hits started the next year. On April 7, 2002 Conny died of lung cancer in Amsterdam.
