'Bad girls' was taken from Donna Summer's 1979 album of the same name. Donna Summer wrote the song herself, after being inspired by an incident: a police officier mistook one of her assistants for a street prostitute.The song was a chart success in many countries. In America it was a number 1 hit, in the UK it peaked at number 14 while in the Netherlands it went to number 7. The 'toot-toot, beep-beep' chant would be sampled by various hip hop artists.
