Angelo Branduardi was born on February 12, 1950 in Cuggiono, a small town in the provence of Milan, Italy. His debut album was released in 1974.Six years later, Branduardi had his first Europe-wide hit with 'Gulliver', a beautiful melodious track incorporating Renaissance and Baroque music. The single did not chart in the Netherlands, but it was a radio hit at the time.
