Que daria yo - Alan Sorrenti

Alan Sorrenti represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980 with the song 'Non so che darei'. Due to the success of his song at the contest, he decided to record several versions of the song. The English version, 'If you need me now', was released in several countries, and the Spanish version was released in Spain and South America.

My copy of 'Que daria yo' is a promotional disc, meaning that the label is white and says 'disco promocional - prohibida su venta'. That's always a bonus in my book.

If you need me now - Alan Sorrenti

I bought the single 'Non so che darei' back in 2010, as part of my subcollection of Eurovision singles. Little did I know that the song was actually released on a 12" single as well.

This 12" single was released in France only, and featured extended versions of both the English and Italian versions of the song. 'If you need me now' is the English version of 'Non so che darei' and appears on the A-side of this 12" single.

All day in love - Alan Sorrenti

Italian singer Alan Sorrenti had a European hit with his song 'Tu sei l'unica donna per me' ('You are the only woman for me'), although in some countries the English version 'All day in love' was promoted to the A-side.

In the Dutch Top 40, the single reached number 26 in the autumn of 1979. It was one year before his appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest with 'Non so che darei'.
